My father is a Nuclear Physicist which is where I get my logic and critical thinking skills and my mother is a creative who taught me to always explore the different artistic layers of everything I do. Fortunately, I have the unique ability to combine both aspects of their wonderful skill sets into my little slice of this world.
My interest in photography goes back to childhood when I received a Canon FTB and 50mm lens. Eventually photography brought me to capturing moving images which has fueled my love for crafting cinematic stories. Making sure there is enough time on set during filming to allow the magic unfold is a top priority for me. You see, I believe that those making a film are required to create a comfortable place so that everyone involved in the process can feel the unwavering trust which will allow them to be vulnerable enough to create great art.
I have an affinity for vintage lenses because of the more film-like look that they provide and I have complete set of vintage Takumar lenses that get put to use on various projects… when appropriate.
